April is shaping up to be an exciting month here at myStarke, and we couldn’t be more excited! From Joy to Life’s “Walk of Life,” to AWF’s Cook off, to Meals on Wheels, our office has plenty of activities to keep us occupied, outside of the daily duties of helping our customers with all of their insurance needs.
We are particularly excited about the 4th annual Spread the Joy event occurring TOMORROW! myStarke, along with Jackson Thornton and Beasley Allen are proud to sponsor this fun event which raises money and awareness for Joy to Life Foundation and Breast Cancer Research.
We’ve teamed up with local businesses to make Spread the Joy possible, and now all we need is your help to make this event a success! If you still need some convincing as to why you should get involved with this event, read below for our top 3 reasons why everyone should participate tomorrow.
1. Support local businesses: Spread the Joy is taking place downtown and in Old Cloverdale—two of the best places to shop and eat in the city of Montgomery. Not only will you be shopping and eating for a great cause, you will also be supporting local businesses that give back to our up-and-coming city in more ways than one.
2. Give to a local charity: Joy to Life Foundation is a local, non-profit organization committed to providing free mammograms and other breast cancer screenings when necessary, to medically underserved women in Alabama. Another great fact to know about Joy to Life is that their foundation is the largest private funder of this cause in Alabama! So, not only are you helping women in Montgomery when you participate, you’ll also be helping women across the state in the fight against Breast Cancer.
3. An excuse to wear pink: If you’re a man who may have a pink shirt or tie tucked away in your closet that you have always wanted to wear but haven’t because you’re afraid of the criticism that may come with wearing a “girly” color, tomorrow is the perfect day to wear your pink for a great cause!

From 11-2, the following restaurants will be donating 10% of each customers receipt who is wearing pink OR a Joy to Life bracelet. Additionally, Welle Studio and Southern Posies will be donating 10% of their sales tomorrow!
