Congratulations to the Starke Little League Team for a Winning Season

Starke is proud to announce that the little league team they sponsored won the final tournament game and was given the title “League & Tournament Champions.” These nine and ten year-olds ended their season with an impressive record of seventeen wins and three loses.

The Starke team was coached by Will Meacham, an employee of Starke Agency, Daniel Lindsey, and Mike Prickett.

Coach Meacham said, “After coaching youth baseball for the last five years, I can say this is the best group of kids I have ever coached. At the very first practice I looked at Daniel Lindsey, the other coach, and told him, ‘As long as you and I didn’t mess this up, these kids will be champions.’ I’ve never been more proud of a group of nine and ten year old boys. Not only did they work extremely hard in practice to become better ball players, but they also worked on becoming better teammates and people in the process. At the end of the day, my greatest joy comes in seeing these young boys learn what it means to be part of something bigger than one individual and become a true team of champions in the process.”
