In 1993, the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America and Reagan & Associates began studying the "secrets" of the nation's most successful independent agencies. Since 1994, the annual "Best Practice Study" has become a comprehensive peer analysis for the entire independent agency system. Starke Agency has been recognized by the Best Practices Study as one of the thirty leading independent insurance agencies in the country within our income category, answering the call "to grow, increase profitability and stability, perpetuate [our] ownership and improve operations."
Our agency is also a member of APPEX (Agency Peak Performance Exchange), a national benchmarking and educational organization. Through APPEX, we sharpen and are sharpened by the best insurance brokerage agencies in the nation.
As a member of Shared Agency Services, we are part of a cooperative network of the top brokers in Alabama and Georgia whose combined premiums are over $800 million. This network allows Starke Agency's customers access to larger variety of markets which results in more affordable premiums.
