Identified cost savings and gaps in coverage for an educational facility
One of our clients undertook a major capital campaign to upgrade and build additions to their existing facilities. By consulting with our client on the front end, we were able to point out areas that would produce cost savings in their insurance program as well as work with their contractor (another Starke client) to make sure there were no gaps in coverage.
Investigated feasibility of an energy solution for a Caribbean resort
In 2007 (two years after Hurricane Katrina and three years after four hurricanes hit Florida), we looked into the feasibility of protecting large generators on a Caribbean island. The generators would serve as the primary source of electricity for several large resorts. We provided a solution that included pricing at acceptable costs with acceptable wind deductibles.
Helped a traditional fitness center move toward a streamlined center
As the fitness industry evolved, we worked closely with one of our clients in analyzing the risks and cost of switching from a more traditional fitness center to a streamlined center with more focus on personal trainers and “boot camps.”
By reviewing all the costs and verifying that the personal trainers were properly insured, we were able to assist our client in making his business decision.
Devised a solution to protect church grounds
A beautiful, historical church suffered major damage during a hurricane. In addition to several buildings being damaged, numerous, large oak trees were uprooted and branches were scattered within the garden courtyard. Since the grounds and gardens of the church are a focal point, bringing in large trucks and cranes to remove the trees would have caused further damage.
Starke Agency worked with the insurance company to arrange for the majority of the work to be done by helicopter, thus eliminating additional damage to their beautiful grounds.
