Mark has just recently moved from Mobile, AL, to take on the position of Director of Sales & Marketing at Starke Agency. He officially started with us yesterday, January 19th and we are so excited to have him!
A 30 year veteran in the insurance industry, Mark has experience in various roles on both the agency and carrier sides of the business. Starting as a personal lines underwriter, Mark had numerous promotions on the carrier side leading him to be a Sales Manager of a large international insurance company. Following that, Mark moved to the agency/retail side where he most recently served as a Profit Center Leader for a national insurance brokerage firm.
“The addition of Mark to our Management Team is a milestone for our agency,” said Trey Starke, president of Starke Agency. “To recruit a seasoned industry practice leader with marketing, sales management, and team building skills compliments our agency well. Mark will lead a team of 6 Commercial Account Advisors and 7 Risk Consultants as we work through risk management and cost-effective strategies for our corporate customers. Mark will be the liaison with our many insurance providers and assist in building strong professional and trusting relationships. Lastly, he will assist in the hiring, development, and growth of new Risk Consultants as we continue to grow organically.”
Mark is a graduate of St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. He has been a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) since 2000 and has completed 6 parts of his Charter Property Casualty Underwriter designation (CPCU).
